Acupuncture and Prenatal Yoga During Your Pregnancy

I have quite a few ladies who have become pregnant with the assistance of regular acupuncture fertility treatments.  Now that they're on their way to becoming parents, they continue to see me on a weekly basis for optimum health and well being.

Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day:  Regular acupuncture treatments during your pregnancy can stave off morning sickness, low back pain, acid reflux, gestational diabetes, swelling and many other uncomfortable symptoms related to pregnancy.  Add prenatal yoga to the treatments, and you can assure your pregnancy and deliver will be a much smoother, easier experience.  Post partum acupuncture treatments will help get you back to 'normal' quicker.  Call or email the office today and make your journey into parenthood a smoother road to tread.

Rice Soup (porridge) Great For Morning Sickness

Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day:  If you are experiencing nausea during your pregnancy, cook yourself up a rice soup (porridge).  There is really nothing better out there to settle the stomach than rice.  Add chicken broth and chinese red dates (or cut up medjool dates) for an added soothing coat for the stomach.  This works for all my expectant mothers who are patients....pass on the info.  It's cheap, easy and does the trick!

Acupuncture and Sub Fertility A Repost By Request

Acupuncture boosts the effectiveness of high-tech reproductive medicine procedures. Clinical studies have found that adding acupuncture to traditional in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments increased pregnancy success. There is also evidence that acupuncture stimulates blood flow and egg production in women who can't or decline to use fertility medications to help them get pregnant. Studies have shown a clear link between acupuncture and the body's natural "feel good" brain chemicals (endorphins).
Acupuncture also appears to affect two areas of the brain that control hormone production (the hypothalamus and pituitary glands) as well as the ovaries. Acupuncture may also "boost" the uterine lining when it is too weak to sustain a pregnancy, a problem known to increase the risk of miscarriage.
If you’re having difficulty becoming pregnant, why not try a natural, drug-free method to boost your fertility?

Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day:  If you are experiencing sub fertility, call or email the office today and do what all my new parent-patients did for their fertility challenges...acupuncture.
