I'm just so excited!!! Just the other day, I was given a gift of my very own driver and 3 wood. Now, that might not sound like a big deal to most of you out there but if you were a left-handed female golfer, you'd know what I mean. This is a right-handed world and it took great effort for my honey bunny to find these clubs for me. I might not have a great swing or a fab game going on just yet, but at least I know how to prevent golfer's elbow and soft tissue damage while participating in the activity of golf. So, today...this blog is for all you golfers out there who could improve their game significantly if you incorporated acupuncture into your lives!
The Treatment of Soft Tissue Damage with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Golf is a sport of repetitive motion, concentration and precision. Pain or limited range of motion can be detrimental to one’s game. The golfers I treat in my practice typically present with muscle strains, spasms, limited range of motion in the upper torso and lower back, and usually experience chronic pain. Lateral and medial malleolus tendonitis (golfer’s elbow), rotator cuff tears, iliopsoas pain, tight IT bands, and wrist pain are just a few of the most common ailments.
Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day: Traditional Chinese Medicine can be quite effective to prevent injury while training and resolve acute and chronic conditions. Hey....watch out, here I come onto the course with my own clubs!! FOUR!!!!!!!!! How about that hat??? :))))
