Long Term Health Care
Today, I purchased a long term care policy from Genoworth. Now that I'm an old bag and AARP member, I was able to purchase a wonderful plan at a reasonable cost with an additional AARP discount and benefit added.
Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day: Take care of yourself and make sure that if something should prevent you from performing basic daily tasks, you have a long term health care policy in effect. We are born alone, we die alone and in between, it's our own responsibility to ensure our well being will be taken care of - especially in our society where no one can depend on relatives or children to take care of us. So do what I did today...purchase some long term care and ensure that your well being will be cared for should you need it!

Make Health Insurance a Priority
For over 25 years, I've paid for my own health insurance - you never know what can happen and dollars-to-donuts you're going to become sick or be in an accident during your lifetime.
Through richer times and poorer times, I have always made health insurance a priority in my life. I can do without movies, wine, travel and other non-necessities, but I would never have been able to do without the m.d. when I've been seriously ill or without the physical therapist when I've been physically banged up. There's a plan out there for everyone's wallet-you just have to do your research to find a policy to suit your needs.
Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day: I've got lots of physical therapy sessions coming my way to help recover from a twisted vertebra, torn hamstrings and other related injuries - all at a very low copay per visit. I'm getting my money's worth from my health insurance premiums. There are no excuses for no health insurance - there's a policy out there for everyone's wallet. Invest in your health today!

Healthcare Documents
Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day: Accidents happen; illness occurs. Who have you designated to ensure that you will be cared for should something happen to you? Choose wisely and get your healthcare documents in order. If not, you might find you've placed your life in the hands of a disgruntled estranged spouse who would rather see you dead, or next of kin who are neither capable of understanding your health condition nor ensure you are receiving the best healthcare possible. Most people have an illogical aversion to taking care of their healthcare documentation - get over it. Making the right decisions now could make a huge difference in your life one day.
