Exercise is Good for Your Brain

Did you know that exercise can increase the 'mighty mitochondria' development in our brains?  Mitochondria are the powerhouses of the cells that convert energy from the foods we eat into energy for the body's daily functions.  Mental function is very important as we age.  The University of South Carolina recently published their findings that daily exercise on a treadmill increased mitochondrial development in the brain.  This could help prevent age-related dementia. Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day:  Forgot where you left the car keys?  Forgot to pick the kids up after school?  Can't remember what you had for lunch yesterday?  Get on a treadmill everyday, cycle, or do some sort of exercise.  It's good for your brain power!
