EEEEWWWWWWW!!!! COOTIES!!!! Remember that from childhood? Well, guess what? Those germs are still everywhere.
Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day: Today, I'm going to give you a short list of where they hide so you can limit the amount of cooties in your life.
-Dust mites eat human skin flakes on your pillow. Asthmatic symptoms can occur if you are allergic to them or their feces. Zip your pillows with dust- proof covers.
-Sharing cosmetics is just disgusting. When you share cosmetics or use it for too long, it can become contaminated with bacteria or fungi.
-desktops have 21,000 germs per square inch, compared with 49 germs per square inch on office toilet seats. Wash your hands often and keep your hands away from your face. Use a sanitizer and clean the keyboard.
-Sponges in the kitchen are one of the biggest causes of foodbourne bacteria. Use paper towels or clean dishcloths which are much more sanitary.
-Swimming pools are like community bathtubs...enough said. Chlorine can't kill all the bacteria in public pools. Don't swallow pool water, and take a shower with soap and water before and after your pool experience.
- Shoes come from outside in the street where people spit, dogs poop and pigeons roam. Take your shoes off when entering your home and ask your guests to do the same.
