The Eyes Should Have Them...Sunglasses

Sunglasses are not just for the Spring and Summer.  The UV rays of the sun burn through the earth's ozone layer year-round, so...

Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day:
Purchase and wear sunglasses that block 99% to 100% of UVA and UVB rays.  Don’t be fooled by the darkness or color of the lenses.  Read the label instead. Bigger lenses that wrap around your face provide better protection not only from the sun, but from dust and other particles that can irritate and infect the eyes. Polarized lenses reduce glare and are good for driving a vehicle, boating or any other activity.
Always wear your sunglasses when you’re outside whether it is winter, summer, spring or fall.  The sun's rays are most potent between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Higher altitudes obviously bring you closer to the sun, so don't forget the head and eye gear when skiing, hiking or travelling.  UV rays can penetrate through thin clouds and haze; this is why, even on a cloudy day, you might find yourself squinting.  Wear your glasses.   Make your glasses a fashion statement, so you'll never mind wearing them.  Since you won't be squinting, they'll actually help reduce the amount of wrinkles around the eyes.
