Your Liver Needs To Learn About Hepatitis

The Financial Times just reported that in Spain, 1.5% of total deaths were attributed to primary liver cancer.  Out of these deaths, 70% had prior infections with hepatitis C and 10% with hepatitis B.  Persons at risk for hep B and C are those who received blood before 1991, shared IV needles or used shared tubes to snort illicit drugs, experienced unsterile conditions during dental surgery, any type of unsterilized needle prick, unprotected sex and high liver enzyme levels.

Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day:  Hepatitis B and C are major health concerns worldwide and most infections are due to ignorance.  Ask your healthcare practitioner to explain how you can avoid contracting hep B and C and reduce your risk of contracting primary liver cancer.
