Kidney Disease Can Be A Silent Killer

More than 26 million Americans over age 20 suffer chronic kidney disease.  This is approximately 13% of the American population.  A yearly physical that includes a simple blood test and regular blood pressure checks can detect diminished kidney function in its early stages and allow a person to seek corrective treatment.  Kidney disease quite often is the root cause of heart attack, stroke or osteoporosis and death.

Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day:  If you're being lazy and dragging your feet to your annual physical - don't!  Your annual physical is crucial to maintaining good health.  Blood test results assist your m.d. and me in the diagnosis and treatment of early stage disease.  Remember, life is much better when you're healthy.  Get your annual physical today.
