It's in all the media - Rutger's University student jumps off the George Washington Bridge after two 'friends' post his private sex life all over the internet. This leaves much to ponder: were there underlying psychological issues that the jumper was predisposed to drive him to self destruction? It's not just anyone who jumps off a bridge. Was fear of family ridicule upon being exposed as a homo/bisexual? We don't know what the true family dynamic was. The idiots who had nothing better to do than expose his private life all over the world....how does someone so immature get accepted into a higher learning institution?
The bottom line is this: a young and talented man is dead. Perhaps he had other issues that went undetected, but that's not the point here. Personal boundaries were violated. The 'voyeurs' will get off with a slap on the hand and pehaps a few years in jail on a technicality, yes. But is it really their responsibility for a 'jumper' who decides to leap? How do they look at themselves in the mirror today? Again, this leaves much to thought...
Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day: Mind your own business and do your own life. What a person does in the privacy of their own bedroom is their business, not yours. Be mindful and mature when it comes to other's choices in life. The internet is a powerful tool - respect it, and utilize it for a good purpose.
