Tips For Cognitive Vitality

I was perousing through Canyon Ranch Spa's periodical one day recently and came across this blip that I'd like to share with you.  Stephen Brewer, M.D. had this to say about maintaining optimal brain health:
Fitness for the body is fitness for the mind.  Aerobic activity increases good oxygenated blood cell production and circulation to the brain.  This can help prevent dementia.  Keeping your brain limber by stepping out of your comfort zone often offers challenges to the brain cells.  This keeps the mind sharp and active.

Here's Your Healthy Tip of the Day:  Everyday, do the same task, but in a different way.  Walk to school or work and take a different route.  Do a different workout, try a crossword puzzle instead of vegging out in front of the television.  Learn binary code (or not!), but do challenge yourselves.  Who knows?  You might find out you're a lot smarter than you thought you were!
Now, where did I put those car keys.........:)
