Gung Hay Fat Choy! Who's A Tiger Out There?

2010 is the Year of the Tiger (February 14, 2010 to February 2, 2011). The tiger is the sign of bravery and courage. The Chinese believe that the Tiger keeps away the three main houshold tragedies (fire, thieves and ghosts). People who are Tigers are physically powerful, gracious, independent, brave and bold creatures. They are friendly and loving but can also selfish, short tempered and envious in a relationship. Tigers crave attention and power. Tigers live dangerously, take risks and love excitement. The Tiger takes on the role of protector and is a natural leader. This animal can rebel against authority and never hesitates to make objections. Tigers can also be sharing and are unselfish animals who can be ferocious on the outside yet noble and distinguished on the inside.
A Tiger is always happy when climbing the ladder of success. The position of power is the ultimate goal. They prefer to work aloneand will change careers when bored. Tigers are smart and instinctive.
Their homes are usually filled with exotic possessions and love diamonds and rubies. They like to spend money, and also to share it.

You are a Tiger if you were born in any one of these years:
1902, 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, and 1998.

If you're a Tiger, drop me a line on this blog and tell me what you've got in store for your New Year!

  1. Hi Kelley....I am a Tiger!! Just finished my 3 mile walk with my trainer. Dont you notice that the times you least want to get out there and move are usually the times you come back so refreshed and energized. We drive to Sunken Meadow Park and walk on the boardwalk..the beach is so beautiful in the winter! Did I ever tell you that Vincent is a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do? Anyway, I have also been practicing Yoga for about 9 months now...it is not easy! But I keep trying.

  3. Hello Vincent,
Here's a great tip to make your Tae Kwon Do kicks higher, harder and faster! I've trained professional Muay Thai kickboxers to make them better at their sport...DO YOGA!! Take it from your mom, yoga is one of the greatest forms of phyiscal exercise you can do. It increases concentration, lowers the blood pressure, reduces stress and gives cellular nutrition to your bones, muscles, organs and connective tissues to make you leaner, harder, faster and stronger! That's your healthy tip for the day!
    Namaste.

  4. Hello, my beautiful cousin!!! Your Tiger girl is raring to go this year!!! And one of the ways I am accomplishing this IS through YOGA!!!! I've become quite the avid practitioner!! again!! but this time for good. I'm so looking forward to getting outside to workout; you must check out my yoga stump!! We had to cut down a very large tree last summer and I asked that the stump be left waist high. It makes for the perfect place to pose! Overlooking the paddocks and the horses and the gardens - So peaceful! It's been a long time now that I haven't complained of knee pain! Be well! Love and miss you! Connie
